Since its authorization in 2011, the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Education at URI-FW has continuously invested in its infrastructure to meet the needs of research, teaching, and extension activities. The program provides well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, common areas, faculty offices, and administrative offices, ensuring an environment conducive to academic excellence.

a) Classrooms

The PPGEDU classrooms are exclusively used by faculty and students of the program. They are equipped with:

Computers, Projectors, Sound systems, Retractable screens, Air conditioning, Television, Internet and Wi-Fi access, Padded chairs (including accessible seating options), Bulletin boards for academic notices.
These classrooms are designed to support teaching, research, and extension activities, ensuring a comfortable and fully accessible learning environment.
 

b) Laboratories

PPGEDU currently operates six specialized laboratories, available to both students and faculty:

1. Educational Policy Laboratory. Used for student guidance, individual studies, and research groups. Equipped with: 06 computers, a workstation with computers, a workstation for notebooks, and a printer.

2. Teacher Training Laboratory. A shared space at URI, available by appointment. Used for faculty meetings and educational research activities. Equipped with: computer, 08 individual study desks, projector, and videoconferencing equipment.

3. Educational Practices Laboratory. Dedicated to planning and research for faculty and students. Hosts activities such as: Mentoring for scholarship students, guidance for Scientific Initiation Projects, development and management of didactic materials, collaboration between research groups. Restricted use for faculty researchers. Equipped with: a large 10-seat meeting table and storage cabinet.

4. Educational Informatics Laboratory (URItec I). A shared URI facility, available by appointment. Used for: Educational technology training, master’s dissertation defenses (in special cases), planned classes using an interactive whiteboard. Equipped with: 27 computers, individual study desks, projector, air conditioning, and an interactive whiteboard.

5. URItec II. Another shared URI facility, available by appointment. Used for: Faculty meetings and planning, courses, seminars, and videoconferences, master’s dissertation defenses (in special cases), planned classes using an interactive whiteboard, Equipped with: 26 high-performance computers, multi-dimensional tables, drafting board, air conditioning, and an interactive projector.

6. Multimedia Laboratory. A shared URI space, available by appointment. Used for: Podcast and video recording, interviews and photography, development of the EDUCAST program, linked to PPGEDU. Equipped with: 05 microphones, 01 sound mixer, 03 video cameras, 04 lighting units, 01 computer, 01 four-seat table, 01 62-inch TV, Acoustic insulation, Air conditioning, USB Audio Interface Q26, Digital LED wall/table clock with remote control, Baseus USB-C hub with 4 USB 3.0 ports, LEHMOX FM stereo headphones with MP3 player. All laboratories are air-conditioned and offer Wi-Fi access, as well as connectivity to the CAPES Journal Portal, ensuring access to high-quality academic resources.
